How does Residential Wholesale Mortgage Inc. dba RWM Home Loans protect my personal information?

To protect your personal information from unauthorized access and use, we use security measures that comply with federal law. These measures include computer safeguards and secured files and buildings.

How does RWM Home Loans collect my personal information?

We collect your personal information, for example, when you

  • Apply for a loan
  • Give us your income information
  • Give us your employment history
  • Provide your mortgage information
  • Show your government-issued ID

We also collect your personal information from others, such as credit bureaus, affiliates, or other companies.

Why can’t I limit all sharing?

Federal law gives you the right to limit only

  • sharing for affiliates’ everyday business purposes – information about your creditworthiness
  • affiliates from using your information to market to you
  • sharing for nonaffiliates to market to you

What happens when I limit sharing for an account I hold jointly with somebody else?

Your choices will apply to everyone on your account.

Definitions

Affiliates

Companies related by common ownership or control. They can be financial and nonfinancial companies.

  • RWM Home Loans has no affiliates. 

Nonaffiliates

Companies not related by common ownership or control. They can be financial and nonfinancial companies.

  • RWM Home Loans does not share with nonaffiliates so they can market to you.

Joint marketing

A formal agreement between nonaffiliated financial companies that together market financial products or services to you.

  • RWM Home Loans does not jointly market.

Other important information

California residents: In accordance with California law, we will not share information we collect about you with companies outside of RWM Home Loans, unless the law allows. For example, we may share information with your consent, to service your accounts. We will limit any sharing to the extent required by California law.

State Law. We follow state law if state law provides you with additional privacy protections.

Additional State Privacy Rights

Certain U.S. state privacy laws provide residents of those states with specific rights regarding their personal information. These rights may include the right to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of personal information, and the right to opt out of certain processing activities, as applicable under state law.

Some of the personal information we collect and process is subject to the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (“GLBA”) and related federal regulations and may be exempt from certain state privacy law requirements. State privacy rights described in this section apply only to personal information that is not exempt under applicable law, such as information collected through our websites, marketing activities, or other non-GLBA-covered interactions.
